Projects

In more than 20 years of my career I had a chance to work in numerous different and challenging projects.

Let me share with you those (apart from Angle, of course), that I am most proud of:

Graphical databases

Graphical databasesI developed a number of graphical database application for big institutions in Montenegro, such as Geological Survey of Montenegro, University of Montenegro and Ministry of the Interior.

Information from the database, such as measurement results, is displayed over an extremely detailed digital vector map of Montenegro. Data can be presented in many different ways: color points with varying radii, contour maps, histograms, diagrams, statistics... Selection and filtering of information to be presented is done visually, in an interactive way.

Standard graphic applications functionalities, such as panning, zooming, exporting and printing are implemented.

Applications are highly configurable. For all parameters, such as contour lines, texts, histograms and diagrams it is possible to separately define their visibility, printability, color, line thickness etc.

Multimedial software

Multimedial softwareDuring past years, I developed a range of multimedial applications, such as multimedial CD releases, presentation CDs and prize drawing softwares.

Back in year 2000, I developed the first multimedial release in Montenegro – Vladimir Sekulic's Textbook of English Language, interactive multimedial CD for English language learning. The CD received rave reviews in computer magazines at that time. The second, improved and optimized version was released several years later. Although it was developed a long time ago, it is still used by many and its re-releases can still be found in bookstores.

Graphical user interfaces of the CD designed Veselin Kovacevic, and the author of illustrations is Ivan Grujicic.

Financial software

Financial softwareERPs, back offices for brokerage companies, payroll software packages, programs for car services, debt collection applications, hotel booking software – are just some of application types developed for large number of companies in Montenegro.

Each package is developed and customized for end-user, tailored according to its needs and requests, and is easily distinguished among the competing softwares in the market.

The main advantages of these solutions are:

  • fully customized for end-user,
  • optimized and compact,
  • high level security mechanisms,
  • role based authorization,
  • connections with third-party systems, such as e-payments, banks, tax offices,
  • integration with ERPs,
  • SMS and email notifications,
  • integration with MS Office,
  • automatic updates distribution,
  • customized reports, etc.

Hardware design

Hardware designI like designing digital electronic circuits. It is always a great feeling to make a device from scratch and bring life to it.

My hardware projects were sometimes standalone devices, and sometimes networks of connected devices which communicate between themselves using wired (e.g. RS-485, RS-232) or wireless communication. They mostly involve microcontrollers, and they range from measurement and data acquisition devices to remotely controlled vehicles, from display panels to conferencing systems... I personally prefer making those interfacing with other, third-party, devices, or computers.

My references range from independent private projects to large telecommunication operators.

I am a co-author of an university textbook about computer peripherals and interfaces.

Electrical installations design

Electrical installations designI was an assistant in designing electrical installations for many capital investments in Montenegro. These demanding projects often involved very specific designs due to their nature and specific requirements.

The main engineer in all these projects was prof. Janko Jankovic from the faculty of Electrical engineering in Podgorica.

The most important projects are:

  • Faculty of Medicine, University of Montenegro, Podgorica, Montenegro
  • Ivica tunnel (2205.5 meters long, altitude: 1400 meters), Žabljak, Montenegro
  • Fruit and vegetable processing factory with distribution center, Podgorica, Montenegro
  • Sport center Nikoljac, Bijelo Polje, Montenegro
  • Psychiatric clinic, Clinical hospital center, Podgorica, Montenegro
  • Uninterruptible power supply for the Clinical hospital center, Podgorica, Montenegro
